Ali Hanapiyah was born in Jakarta 1975, studied violin at the age of 14 with Sadrak
Hutapea, then in 1991 entered the Yogyakarta Music Middle School (SMM) with a violin teacher
Kiki Kwintanada, and 1995 (ISI), the Indonesian Art Institute, Yogyakarta with a violin teacher
Christyanto Christinus.
